Phil ChadwickIn his own words: “I live and paint out of passion for the natural world. I am inspired by nature, family and fellow artists to see beyond the surface and to share the experience – a vision in pigment and texture. My immediate goal is to extract the maximum amount of inspiration from the moment and have fun doing it while surrounded by and immersed in natural elements. Somehow the soul of the scene finds its way on to the canvas.” |

Pierre SabourinWhile attending the University of Ottawa, Pierre frequented the National Gallery of Canada and was attracted to Canada’s famous landscape painters, the Group of Seven. Inspired by the work of artist Tom Thompson, they captured the power and spirit of Canada through direct contact with nature. Pierre was immediately drawn to their rich Expressionist style and bold use of thick impasto and flowing colour. |
