| In Bobbi's words: "I paint en plein air because it inspires me and evokes feelings, impressions, and memories. The places I have painted are relative to my experience. You, the viewer, may not be able to relate to the specifics of what and where I painted. What I am trying to accomplish through my artwork is to evoke your experience, your memories, what you remember of a specific field that had meaning for you, your memory of what the field smelled like, the air wafting through your hair, the sunlight falling on your face on a day that once was important for you. When you view my works, the first impression will be the paintings, but I ask you to linger somewhat, let your mind feel free to travel back in time, to another place that you have feelings about, to reconnect with your past and those experiences that make up your story". |
